Some of you may be asking, why is this girl back for the THIRD time? Is she crazy? Short answer.. yes. But long answer.. Doga is like my home, Zelimir is my family, and the whispers of the Adriatic are my siren song. I spent the past three months working/studying in northern India, and knew that on my way back across Europe I had to make a stop on my floating haven. So, I'm back!

Upon my arrival the crew consisted only of our dear captain and Wannus, a Belgian guy that loves going on crazy treks into the Croatian wilderness.

I boarded in Osor, and the next day we were on our way south to an island called Ilovik. It was so peaceful, with only nautical tourists milling about the tiny town. We impressed some Italians with our fishing skills ...thankfully mine have improved drastically since my last voyage and I caught a few for lunch. Next stop was Mali Losinj. I should mention that since my arrival there has been NO wind at all...some cruel joke by the Croatian sea gods on this poor girl who loves sailing. Regardless, we spent a nice couple hours on motor to the big town of Mali Losinj, most of which I spent hiding under a towel from the sun. Finally arriving, Wanus and I decided that we wanted a drink on stable land and found plenty of Rakija and some live music in town. Needless to say, the night was full of adventures involving double whiskeys and Croatian singers ... we did not return to the boat until well after sunrise. The next day I spent lying on the boat, rehydrating and waiting for the arrival of Meg and Georgia, two lovely Australian girls. Today we stay in Susak, an island south of Losinj. The day was spent lazing about on the perfect beaches, jumping on trampolines, and the usual antics on the pier. However, I think our neighbors are enjoying my DJ-ing skills.

Next on the agenda is heading north, with hopes for wind.
